Public debate on the Croatian draft law on e-documents
The Central National Bureau for e-Croatia started the public debate on the draft-Law on Electronic Documents. All interested to present their opinion and join the discussion can do it by May 30, 2005.
The proposed draft intents to provide unified regulation for use of e-documents and make their use reliable, valid and legally protected, regardless of the actual information technology used to create them. The passing of the Law on Electronic Documents, together with the already adopted Law on Electronic Signature and Law on Electronic Trade, will provide for a public, unimpeded and legally bases use and exchange of e-documents and will create confidence of the general public in the institution of electronic document. This shall create the space for more intensive activities of the e-business system and development of electronic governance. With the goal to form the best legal solution that would fulfil the demands of the interested business entities and the citizens on the principles of consensus and compromise, the Draft-Law is open for suggestions, proposals and objections, and is offered for a public debate that will last from May 16-30. (The text of the Draft Law on Electronic Documents is available on the web-site of National Bureau for e-Hrvatska, or can be ordered on e-dokument@e-hrvatska.hr. |
