The World Wide Web Consortium, an international Web standard-setting body, has recently announced the new reduced fee structure for the organisations from the developing nations.
With the new fee structure in place, W3C hopes to increase
participation of small companies and not-for-profit organizations to become W3C Members and become engaged in the development of foundation technologies for the World Wide Web.
A reduction between 15 and 60% of former values shall encourage the developing country institutions, especially the not for profit organisations, in becoming members of W3C.
