ICTA e-Motoring Project set to transform Lankan transport services

The e-Motoring project of Information and Communication Technology Agency of Sri Lanka (ICTA) will build a comprehensive ICT solution to provide computersied citizen services being provided by DMT and the Provincial Department of Motor Traffic (PDMT).

Under this project, citizen services for motor vehicles by DMT, PDMT, District Secretariats and Divisional Secretariats will be re-engineered and automated.

The offices will be eqipped with networked workstations, besides the replacement of manual files by digital records.

Comment: "e-Administration" is a web enabled, platform neutral, paper-less office solution, developed using open source tools, running on Linux platform, for intra-office and inter-office electronic letter and file movement and tracking.
