Consultation on ICT for human needs in rural India

On the occassion of the first graduation of the fellows of the Jamshedji Tata National Virtual Academy, a grassroots consultation on Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and related issues is planned under the aegis of Mission 2007 by OneWorld South Asia.

The two-day consultation will take place on July 11-12, 2005 in New Delhi, India. Nominations are invited from the community based knowledge workers with following criteria to participate in the consultations.

1. Have some experience of working on media tools and an exposure to Information and Communication Technology (ICT) interventions in the community.
2. S/he is of more than 18 years of age.
3. S/he should be a permanent member of the local community, where s/he is working.

Participants of this consultation will be required to stay in Delhi for three days. Interested persons can forward their nominations through their respective organisations by submitting bio data containing name, address, phone, email, age, education, work experiences and a small write up on their contribution and perspective on ICT interventions in the community to:
