TRAI to allow foreign ownership in radio broadcasting in India

Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has recommended 100 per cent foreign ownership in satellite radio services without any entry and licence fee. Foreign service providers are only required to obtain permission for brodcasting and they would be responsible for content regulation.

No entry fee is recommended by TRAI unless there will be excess demand for the available spectrum space and terrestrial repeaters are not used for transmission.
