The Tithe Management System - Sistem Pengurusan Zakat (SPZ) in Brunei will support the work of the tithe collection and distribution unit at Ministry of religious affairs to determine the number of applicants and amount of money distributed to those who are eligible.
Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Religious Affairs, Dato Hj Abdul Rahman Hj Mohiddin said the implementation of e-government projects at the ministry were on course and are in line with the 8th National Development Plan.
The transition to the new electronic system would place additional demands on staff in the short term. Training on the new system will also help improve the control of accounts, auditing and administration.
