22 computer terminals supported by two servers would be installed at the RTO office here at a project outlay of Rs.8.18 lakhs of which three will be dedicated for conducting online learner's licence tests to facilitate applicants to know the results instantly.

Once these systems start functioning, entire data pertaining to registration certificates, driver's license, permits and fitness certificates, bills will be stored in computers.

The advantage would be that the State Transport Commissioner in Chennai and other offices of RTOs could access data fed into these computers anytime.
