New Zealand's Ministry of Education to license softwares used in schools

New Zealand's Education Minister has announced that The New Zealand Ministry of Education has signed an agreement with Novell to license a range of software for all schools.

All publicly funded schools will now be able to use Novell's Open Enterprise Server, SUSE Linux server and desktop operating systems, and applications such as ZENworks, Groupwise and Border Manager.

Novell desktop management software will now also be available to schools that have previously not had access to it.
