Promotion of ICT sector in Bangladesh

President Professor Dr Iajuddin Ahmed of Bangladesh has urged the people put in more efforts to create IT-knowledge based human resources and promote the prospective IT sector at the annual conference of Bangladesh Computer Society (BCS) at Bangladesh-China Friendship Centre.

Terming the computer and IT as one of the important tools of development at present, Dr Iajuddin said the technology has now been widely used in all official works, business, industry, education, research and even in family precinct.

Referring to the government steps and facilities for development of IT sector in the country, the President urged to ensure use of all these facilities to acquire technological and practical knowledge on IT to meet the challenges of globalisation and open market economy.

He also stressed on incorporating IT education with the general education system to expedite the process of building a technology-based Bangladesh.
