Facilities of EDUSAT classroom technology will be extended to 13 high schools and higher secondary schools in Balussery Assembly constituency in Kozhikode, Kerala.

A.C. Shanmukhadas, MLA, has sanctioned Rs.19.50 lakhs from the MLA local area development fund for the purpose.

The EDUSAT classroom technology, launched on July 28 by President A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, is being implemented in Malappuram, Wayanad, Palakkad and Idukki districts this year. It will be extended to other districts in a phased manner.

To make this facility functional, every school should have a computer lab, multimedia room and Rs.1.5 lakhs for other amenities.
