Computerisation of district and subordinate courts in India

At the initiative of the Department of Justice, Ministry of Law and Justice, the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) has approved a project for computerisation of district and subordinate courts in the country.

The cost is estimated to be Rs. 384.53 crore. An amount of Rs.103.05 crore has been released to National Informatic Centre (NIC) for the first phase of computerisation of 3475 courts.

The remaining courts will be covered in the next two years.
