Indian government to digitise all Registrar of Companies (RoC) offices

The ministry of company affairs (MCA) has initiated the process of digitising all Registrar of Companies (RoC) offices in the country and expects the e-governance project to be in place by March-April 2006. Software major Tata Consultany Services Ltd is working on the project.

“Once the e-governance project is in place, the process of getting a company registered will be highly simplified and the filing of annual returns will become easier,” said Ms Anand, Secretary, MCA.

The interactive meeting, organised by the Indian Institute of Capital Markets, brought together representations from various bodies associated with the capital markets under one roof.
