International Open Source Network is looking for interesting, significant and innovative applications of Free/Open Source Software (FOSS) in education, health, small- and medium-enterprises etc. running on an Intel hardware platform.
ISON will select 3-5 best practices anywhere in the world that will be filmed for a documentary, besides documented (in writing) as case studies.
It does not matter to us if the projects are implemented by government agencies, academic institutions, or civil society organizations, as long as they are innovative/unique/interesting applications of FOSS and they have made a change for the better. They should make for a good storyline.
Ideally, we would like to show the documentary film at WSIS in Tunis in November and possibly even air it as a half hour programme on Free/Open Source Software on BBC World.
Submission shall contain a brief description (8-10 lines) of the project with a note on its worthiness describing to the world-at-large.
