OWSA's Ek Duniya Ek Awaaz (EDEA) Radio Programme was launched officially on September 12, 2005 in a ceremony at OneWorld South Asia (OWSA) office whereas the broadcasting has started form September 14th on AIR FM Rainbow (102.6 MHz). The programme can be heard throughout the national capital region on every Wednesday from 4.30 to 5.00 p.m.
Launch ceremony was marked by representations from British Telecom and all OWSA advocacy centres in Delhi. OWSA advocacy centres are engaged in promoting listenersÂ’ club and subsequent discussion on social issues in the communities and also to involve communities in making of the EDEA programme. This initiative is to promote the community broadcastersÂ’ network to strengthen the capacities of community based organisations in making radio programmes.
