An electronic records and database system was launched at Bahrains Chamber of Deputies.
The system, which will replace a manual programme, is a turning point in the Chambers legislative and administration operations.
The system will e-record documents of the Chamber and its various departments and enhance the efficiency of the general secretariat. It also aims to speed up the operations of the parliamentary committees as each panel can access the activities of the others via a computer network.
The system has environmental benefits as it will reduce paper work and ease statistical operations. The draft laws or proposals will be followed up through the computer network which will also facilitate report-writing.
It will also enhance cooperation between the Chambers administration office, committees and deputies.
