Application for Pre-qualification for Building Knowledge and Experience Contracts

The Programme Management Organisation (PMO) wishes, on behalf of the UK Department for International Development (DFID) to identify organisations who are interested in applying to pre-qualify for contracts under the Building Knowledge Experience component of DFID’s Challenge Fund for HIV and AIDS in India.

The Building Knowledge and Experience component aims to complement the Partnership Grants with specific contracts relating to specific capacity building, research, learning and dissemination activities that will not only inform interventions under the Challenge Fund and other HIV/ AIDS programmes, but also synchronise learning with national and state level responses.

There will be two types of contracting processes for this component of the fund.

The first group – larger contracts – will be through an open competitive tendering process throughout the year, and full details will be announced on the PMO website. Please check the website for future opportunities.

Currently, we are looking for organisations interested in prequalifying for smaller contracts that will be tendered throughout the year.

Organisations that can demonstrate relevant skills and experience to undertake assignments within the priority areas will be added to our database of qualified organisations.

Selected organisations from this database will then be invited to tender for specific short and medium-term assignments as they arise. Specific assignments will ultimately be developed based on feedback from partner organisations, outcomes of monitoring visits; consultation with UN extended theme group, and advice of Challenge Fund Advisory Board.
