A regional workshop on ICT for Community Empowerment through Non-formal Education (NFE) will be convened by the UNESCO Asia Pacific Programme of Education for All (APPEAL) in Chennai, India from 3 to 7 October 2005.
APPEAL is collaborating with the Communication and Information (CI) unit in UNESCO Delhi to incorporate a review of the Community Multimedia Centers (CMCs). This collaborative activity is expected to provide useful information on lessons learned and good practices for effective community involvement in ICT applications in countries participating in the two projects.
