Punjab Governor stresses on IT skills for education,healthcare and governance
Gen S.F. Rodrigues (retd), Governor, Punjab and Chancellor, Punjab University, said that education, healthcare, agriculture and governance were the areas which should be taken care of to bring about a positive societal transformation.
General Rodrigues, who inaugurated an international workshop on “Information Skills For Learning” held by the Department of Library and Information Science, Punjab University, in his address said there was great need to promote human resources-development.
About 65 delegates from India and other countries participated in the workshop which was sponsored by UNESCO and the International Federation of Library Associations.
