Government of Nepal to give computers to all schools

Experts and intellectuals from Nepal in the field of mass communications have emphasised that His Majesty’s Government should bring about effective programmes towards developing Internet technology as a reliable means to providing education in the country.

Speaking at a colloquium on the theme ‘Use of Internet in Education: Feasibility and Challenges’ held in Kathmandu by Education Journalists’ Group, they pointed out the need to formulate policies in promoting the use of Internet in education and implement them effectively.

His Majesty’s Government has accepted the act of making available computers to all the schools in the country and providing education through Internet technology as the major challenge in this field, said Spokesperson of the Ministry of Education and Sports Laba Prasad Tripathi.
