The Innovation Hub and Active Touch are hosting an all day e-learning conference at the Innovation Hub in Pretoria, Johannesburg on 27 October 2005.
The event is to address issues and concerns raised by those responsible for e-learning initiatives in organisations.
We will be looking into existing projects that are running in rural schools, among other things, and focus on their successes so that other decision-makers can learn from them, says Active Touch director Johann Fouche.
Topics to be discussed include open source, wireless, e-learning for corporate sales training and how to make e-learning fun for scholars. Industry experts are also to share their perspectives on important future directions in e-learning, he says.
The hottest trend at the moment in e-learning is Web-based learning, says Fouche. However, some schools are faced with the problem of bandwidth, which can restrict Web-based e-learning.
The conference is aimed at the corporate sector as well as the educational and governmental sectors.
