eCompany, Etisalat's one-stop e-powerhouse business unit in the UAE, provides internet services and ICT solutions, has announced the launch of new foreign language courses on its eLearning portal, in partnership with Image Systems, a technology provider in the Gulf.
The language service has been launched with the Auralog eLearning method TMM(Tell me More). The language courses currently available on LearnOnline are English (American or British), Spanish, German, Italian, French and Dutch.
Through the service, a learner can reportedly practice all language skills: writing ,oral expression and comprehension. The voice recognition technology also allows learners to evaluate their pronunciation and compare it with that of a native speaker.
Further, through a feature called S.E.T.S (Spoken Error Tracking System), learners can adapt the voice recognition function to their level. During this activity, they receive a score to evaluate the quality of accent, pronunciation and intonation.
