The expansion of Information Communication Technology (ICT) would be strengthened in Amhara State during the current year, the State Capacity Building Bureau of Ethopia said.
Public Relations Officer with the Bureau, Wudneh Gezahegn said that creating skilled manpower enabling to make use of ICT for good governance and development will be given priority during the reported period.
Wudneh said the Bureau has finalised preparation to provide basic and higher level computer training to about 2,000 government employees and network training to 275 woreda net technicians and senior experts.
He said it has been planned also to provide a crash course on ICT training to about 1,500 officials and professionals.
A regional ICT training Centre would also be established while 114 existing regional and woreda centrss would be equipped, he said.
