The study report would help to find out the challenges and ways to improve the issues,” he said. The report said that trafficking has become a concern of the media, especially of newspapers, that in the context of emerging trend of trafficking in persons and also of women and children as an issue on place of origin, at the transit point and to the destination nationally and internationally. The media has been able to give due focus on the issue of trafficked women and children and at the same time they have exposed the activities of the traffickers. “Many of the stories published in the media suggest that the trafficked girls and children are in poor physical and mental status once they return back their homes,” the report said.
