State Chief Electoral Officer in Hyderabad has launched e-registration to enable people to enrol their names virtually in the voters' list by filing Form 6 online at the website -- http://ceoap.apts.gov.in.
According to a press release, all an interested citizen has to do is to login and click the `e-enrolment' link on the home page. Once the required information is submitted, the applicant will receive a message asking him/her to open the mailbox. The inbox of the applicant will have two links - for confirmation and another for deleting the application. Once the confirmation is over, an application ID is generated.
Using the tracking ID, the applicant can find the status of the application, which goes directly to the mailbox of the Electoral Registration Officer concerned. The official will then download the form, obtain the applicant's signature, conduct enquiries as deemed necessary and approve it.
