"This Summit must be a summit of solutions", said Kofi Annan, the Secretary General of the United Nations in his speech today at the Opening Plenary Session.
In his speech, Mr. Annan observed that realisation of the visions of an inclusive information society depends much on political will, than the financial resources. "The hurdle here is more political than financial. The costs of connectivity, computers and mobile telephones can be brought down. These assets -- these bridges to a better life -- can be made universally affordable and accessible. We must summon the will to do it.", he remaked before an august audience.
