The Andhra Pradesh Government, in association with the Ministry of Overseas Indian Affairs (MOIA), is likely to set up a Diaspora Knowledge Network.
It will be an information technology and communications network and will seek to leverage the knowledge resources of the overseas Indian community in State-level projects in the social sector.
The American Association of Physicians of Indian Origin, an organisation of over 41,000 doctors of Indian origin, has come forward to start a pilot project in healthcare.
