PM orders restructuring of CDA, automation of ICT land record
Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz Saturday ordered complete restructuring and revamping of Capital Development Authority geared to transform Islamabad into a model city as well as modern metropolis with people friendly, transparent, processes and procedures.
He also approved a plan for computerization of land records and conferment of proprietary rights in Islamabad Capital Territory.
The Prime Minister was chairing a meeting at the Prime Minister House to finalize the steps required to be taken to transform Islamabad into a model city.
The Prime Minister asked Chairman CDA to submit the restructuring plan after Eid. The plan will focus on improving efficiency of the organization, simplification and transparency of procedures and processes, facilitation to the public and to make the entity people friendly.
The Prime Minister said, "The government wants to change the whole paradigm and transform CDA into a modern entity. Simplify procedures, make them more transparent, avoid delays, do outsourcing, improve supervision, involve community, ensure laws are strictly followed. The governments will have zero tolerance for encroachments".
