Journalists at the government-run Voice of Vietnam (VOV) will get some additional training in February, courtesy of Sweden.
The Swedish government is sponsoring in-house training on production and management, scheduled for February 13 to 24 in Hanoi. The Sweden-based Institute for Further Education of Journalists (FOJO) is organizing the course with support from the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA).
The training will focus on modernizing news programs, including more live news and interviews, as well as improving sound, commentary skills, and newsroom organization.
VOV carries program in Vietnamese and 12 foreign languages, including English, French, Spanish, Thai, Mandarin, Russian, Cantonese, Japanese, Indonesian, Lao and Khmer.
