UPCC Chief Spokesman Akhilesh Pratap Singh talking to mediapersons here, said Amar Singh had crossed all limits of dignity and decorum, while levelling allegations against the Congress leadership. In order to set the record straight, the Delhi police should make contents of the CDs public, he said adding Amar Singh should either make his stand clear and come out openly about his accusations, or else, he should tender an apology to Congress president Sonia Gandhi and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on the issue.

"Interpreting RTI Politically"

Time: 13.01.2006 12:29

Comment: It seems from the news that the spirit and provisions of RTI act are not clear to the Congreess spokesperson from UP. The case in question is breach of privacy. Asking for the contents of the personal talks of someone to be made public under RTI is an utter misinterpretation of law as per the political convenience.
