Jeevika: South Asia Livelihood Documentary Festival invites you to come see films, interact with filmmakers, attend workshops and seminars from January 20-28, 2006!

Jeevika showcases films which focus on peoplesÂ’ struggles in earning a living in a vocation of their choice. Experience 21 documentary films that depict legal and regulatory restrictions as well as social-cultural norms and religious practices that prevent or constrain people from earning an honest living in the vocation of their choice.

Festival Highlights

Inaugural Ceremony: 2:30 pm on January 20 at Gulmohar Hall, India Habitat Centre

Award Ceremony: 6:30 pm on January 22 at Gulmohar Hall, India Habitat Centre

Research & Documentary Making Workshop, January 27-28: A unique workshop to train young people interested to move into documentary making in the basic skills of research and techniques of documentary making
