The e-governance market in India is poised for an explosive growth from the present US dollar 693 million to nearly USD 1,300 million by next year.
Addressing mediapersons on the occasion of the presentation of the Oracle Excellence in e-Governance awards here today, Skoch Consultancy Services CEO Sameer Kochar said, since 2002 the growth per annum in this segment has been encouraging at more than 23 per cent.
Presenting an optimistic picture of the e-governance segment in India, Mr Kochar said the e-governance market, which stood at USD 331 million in 2002, presently stands at USD 693 million and is expected to jump to USD 935 million by the end of this year. By next year, the market will have expanded to nearly USD 1,300 million, he claimed.
