he Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) administration said that the rural health centres will be open 24 hours for improved medical services. According to an ICT spokesman, three female doctors and three male doctors have been appointed at Tarlai health centres.
The staff will work round the clock in three shifts to provide medical facilities including maternity services. The centre has also been provided with an ambulance. The spokesman said that health facilities were extended following the directions of Chaudhry Muhammad Ali, the deputy commissioner of Islamabad.
Similarly, four female doctors and one male doctor have been appointed in Bhara Kahu rural health centre where emergency and maternity services were also being extended in two shifts. The appointment for medical staff at Sihala rural health centre was in progress and, the spokesman said.
CDA mulls construction of two small dams: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) was planning to construct two small dams to meet the water requirements of the capital, a senior CDA official said on Thursday.
“Feasibility reports on Charan Dam and Loi Bher Dam on Swan and Kurrang rivers are being prepared and the projects would be undertaken if found beneficial,” CDA official said.
