ICT professionals in New Zealand will soon be able to upgrade their business qualifications while they work, thanks to a postgraduate certificate approved by the Tertiary Education Commission. This Course, introduced on the recommendation of Government’s ICT taskforce, is meant for people with at least two years of work experience in ICT and a university degree or equivalent in an ICT subject. The $585,000 cost for research, consultation, and course design was funded through the Tertiary Education Commission's Growth and Innovation Pilot Initiatives Fund.

This Postgraduate Certificate in Professional Development (Electronics and ICT) is a part-time two-year course teaching business management skills to ICT professionals. It will be offered in the upcoming semester by Massey and Canterbury universities.
