Vietnams communicative signals dictionary for the hard-of-hearing won first prize on Sunday at a regional information and communication technology (ICT) contest held in Thailand. The dictionary, one of Vietnams nine entries for the fifth Asia Pacific ICT Awards 2005 (APICTA), won the Best Education & Training prize.
Developed by the HCMC Teacher Training University, it was hailed by contest organizers as the most innovative product for developing ICT solutions to the delivery of education and training.
APICTA is an international awards program initiated by the Malaysian Multimedia Development Corporation to increase ICT awareness in the community and assist in bridging the digital divide. This time, around 160 products from 11 countries entered for the awards.
