African Education Ministers have pledged their support for the United Nations Decade of Education for Sustainable Development (DESD), formally launched, at the on-going Biennial meeting of the Association for the Development of Education in Africa (ADEA) in Libreville, Gabon.
Presenting their positions, Minister for Primary and Secondary Education, Republic of Congo, and Chairman of the Bureau and Caucus of Ministers of Education, Rosalie Kama-Niamayoua said, "we accept to support the setting up of the Decade in Africa. We also pledge to ensure that the principles of the Decade are integrated into our educational systems."
