Wipro Infotech, in an attempt to bridge the digital divide in India, has launched the "SuperGenius Bharat PC" designed for use in rural India. The computer is based on Intel's new platform developed to meet the needs of villages and communities in India. Designed with locally relevant computing solutions based on Intel technology, the platform is equipped to operate in a community setting.
Wipro SuperGenius Bharat PC consists of a rugged chassis that can survive extreme dust and heat conditions. It can continue to operate even if AC power is unavailable without loss of any data. The central power system unit (CPSU) enables the system to operate on both AC and DC (battery) power.
