The first province of Afghanistan is connected

On Wednesday, May 17th, 2006, when celebrating of World Telecommunications Day, Afghanistan will have completed and launched two useful projects.

A ceremony was organized in Herat province including, H. E. Eng. Amirzai Sangin Minister of Communications, H. E. Deputy Minister of Communications of Islamic Republic of Iran, H. E. Sayed Hussain Anwari Governor of Herat Province, H. E. Eng. Barialai Hassam Deputy Minister, Technical and thousands of residents of Herat Province.

Firstly, the Iran-HeratÂ’s Optical fiber project was inaugurated, that was funded by Irani government from Mashhad till Doghan of Heart, at a cost of 1.2 million USD.
