OneWorld south Asia is committed to empower the community using ICTs as an effective communication medium. Under Ek-Duniya initiative, We have been supporting grassroot organisations in building online platform which enables local voice heard by global community and enrich the community by providing them appropriate content. Last year we have helped more than 60 organisation to create their dynamic website.
OneWorld South Asia is now happy to announce the next round of these training programmes. The programme titled Local Language Web Hosting and Communication with Ek-Duniya is primarily targeted to grassroots and intermediary level civil society organisations, and multi-stakeholder partners to expose these organisation on various nuances of web-site creation, web-tools, and Plone content management system (CMS) enabling them to build their dynamic websites in local languages for communicating and campaigning on developmental issues.
Ek-Duniya Web Solution uses an open source content management system Plone ; and facilitates grassroots communities, civil society organisations and other multi-stakeholder partners to host local language content and communicate effectively on the web without much technical knowledge; and enable organisations to update their websites using a simple web interface.
The first program of this year will be held in Delhi from 27th to 30th of June. Please find the attached agenda and registration form. The last date of receiving application is 12 June 2006.
