Internet Governance Forum 2007

One of the most significant outcomes of the World Summit on Information Society, which took place in Tunis between 16 and 18 November 2005, was the creation of the Internet Governance Forum.
The roles and functions of the Forum are set out in paragraphs 72-79 of the "Tunis Agenda for the Information Society". Briefly, its main purpose will be to discuss a wide range of issues related to Internet Governance, and, where appropriate, to make recommendations to the international community. The 2nd Internet Governance Forum meeting will be hosted by the government of Brazil.The meeting will take place in Rio de Janeiro on 12 - 15 November 2007.
