A working group of APC members aims to bring environment higher on the ICT policy priorities of global civil society. Information and communication technologies are a powerful tool for civil society protecting environment. he United Nations has approved the launch of a Global Alliance for Information and Communication Technologies and Development. The UN says one of the aims of the alliance is to ensure that ICTs are effectively integrated into development activities so that development targets, such as the Millennium Development Goals, are met.
