02.09.2003 European, US and Asian missionary organisations are recruiting young Tibetans for employment as Tibetan translators. These youngsters are then asked to embrace Christianity, are sent out to rural areas and are encouraged to convert the rural poor. Tibetans, who are mostly Buddhists, resent the fact that both the Chinese government and now the missionaries are eroding their religion and beliefs.
