03.10.2005 The U.S. president and his supporters have repeatedly said they have no intention of keeping U.S. troops in Iraq permanently, but many of their actions indicate otherwise. They should go on record and support a congressional resoultion mandating as much, says Rep. Barbara Lee; if nothing else, it would help diffuse the insurgency.
