Buddhist monk-led protests against the military dictatorship of Myanmar -- formerly Burma -- have grown to include record numbers of civilians Monday, according to local sources in the tightly controlled country. It's unclear why the junta has not forcibly put down these protests, or why the jailed opposition leader Aung San Suu Kyi was allowed to greet protesters over the weekend.
