Fahamu, in conjunction with Oxford University, have prepared eight innovative courses covering human rights, advocacy, finance, fundraising, leadership and writing. The distance learning courses use CD-ROMs, online workshops and email based tutorials to help learners build capacity and apply what they learn immediately.

Almost a year ago, the African Union adopted the Protocol on the Rights of Women in Africa. Since then only one member state has ratified. Fourteen more countries need to ratify for it to come into force. Sign the petition that will be presented to the next African Union summit in July 2004.
