Members of Heifer's group organization in Nepal
19.10.2005 A women's group in Nepal, which started out with 25 members in 1993, has grown into an expansive network distributing food, awarding scholarships, and helping 2,500 families. Last month the group even made a donation to aid those affected by Hurricane Katrina.

Cambodia farmer

Author Barbara Kingsolver Visits Peru
15.07.2005 Barbara Kingsolver, author of The Poisonwood Bible and other works, traveled with Heifer International recently on a tour of Peru. Whether in the Andes or in the lowland's remote deserts, Kingsolver wanted to learn about Heifer's programs, but what she came away with is the pride and health of families all over Peru.
