21.07.2003 A Belgian NGO, doing research on community radio in West Africa, has come up with a guide for CSOs and funding agencies. The guide will help organisations understand and analyse the communication potential of development projects taken up by community radio stations.

18.07.2003 At the Children's Media Centre in Kyrgyzstan, children themselves conduct television, publishing and advocacy initiatives. They define their own problems, work out the themes for the plot, conduct the necessary research, and write the articles and scenarios.

17.07.2003 In order to highlight the problems faced by poor, urban women in Kenya, the Intermediate Technology Development Group has helped them to produce three video films. Shown all over the globe, the films focus on the various insecurities in these women's lives -housing, health, savings and income.

16.07.2003 The Africa Regional Development Centre has launched a series of radio plays and videos focusing on the numerous problems faced by the elderly-health, poverty, abandonment, violence and abuse. These programmes aim at raising awareness about their rights and offering solutions to their problems.

16.07.2003 This paper explores the changes in ICTs that affect environmental sustainability. In the same context, it also focuses on ICTs in relation to the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs). Experts suggest that ICTs should be fully applied for agricultural and land use planning and trends in urban ICT growth should be incorporated into the national set up.
