27.06.2003 An education television project for Uzbekistan conceptualised and developed by the British Council and the Thomson Foundation will help regional television stations in the country to use and understand basic educational programming.

24.06.2003 The Russian Community Education Development Centre supports Non Governmental Organisations (NGO) working in education in Russia. It provides information and training so that NGOs develop projects related to civic education and community engagement.

23.06.2003 The world over, the elderly face varied problems like social exclusion, medical ailments and loneliness. Now ICTs are stepping in to make up for this lack of care and concern. This will be done by creating resource networks on the Internet, IT training and building systems of social and health care services.

11.06.2003 A one-day workshop, focusing on the role of ICT enabled communities in international development will be held later this year in Amsterdam, Holland. Sponsored by the International Institute for Communication and Development, the event will focus on an evidence based analysis of ICT implementation.

10.06.2003 The Asia Pacific Regional Training Centre is conducting a five-week online course to teach agricultural professionals in the region how to take advantage of resources available through the Internet. The course aims to help participants improve their online learning capability, ability to use a range of Internet communication/learning tools and Internet searching skills.
