03.07.2003 GKP and its partners are organising a forum on ICTs and gender next month in the Malaysian capital Kuala Lumpur. Main objectives of the forum include, identifying ways of increasing ICT access for women, raising awareness on gender barriers and providing recommendations for ICT related projects and policy initiatives.

27.06.2003 Global Knowledge Partnership (GKP) is organising an e-awareness seminar for Asian parliamentarians in July 2003. To be held in three phases, at different locations, the series is aiming at sensitising the parliamentarians to the use of ICTs by highlighting policy issues, sharing ideas and experiences and discussing gender issues with regard to access and use.

To be held in the Malaysian capital Kuala Lumpur, the aim of the conference is to study the barriers in adoption, create awareness and maximize the use of ICTs by women in various fields.

09.06.2003 Global Knowledge Partnership and its two partners will be organising a two-day workshop for young women leaders in information communication technology. Forty women from the Middle East and the North African region will participate in the event, to be held later this month in Egyptian capital Cairo.

03.06.2003 The Global Knowledge Partnership (GKP) plans to explore workable models for financing ICT4D projects, including setting up a fund to finance youth initiatives. GKP will also intensify its outreach in Latin America and the Caribbean, the Middle East and North Africa.
