A dieci anni dal "Freedom day" (27 Aprile 1994) nonostante le riforme legislative, la popolazione nera del Sudafrica è sempre all'ultimo gradino della scala sociale: dei 5,3 milioni di disoccupati (31,2% della popolazione) la maggior parte sono neri, solo il 9% dei giovani si iscrive all'universita e l'85% di essi lascia gli studi per problemi economici e gran parte dei 5,3 milioni di sudafricani malati di Aids sono neri.

KIRKUK, IRAQ, Mar. 8 (CSM) -- Once united in opposition to Saddam Hussein's brutal oppression against them, Iraq's Shiites and Kurds appear increasingly divided over how to share the spoils of the new Iraq. Nowhere is that tension more evident than in this oil-rich city in northern Iraq, which many residents fear is about to explode into violence between Kurds and the mainly Shiite Turkmen.
