Susan Whelan, Canada's Minister for International Cooperation, today announced a $14-million contribution to the World Food Programme for emergency food aid initiatives in Ethiopia. The aid is part of Canada's response to the 2004 Emergency Appeal for Ethiopia - a country where more than 7.2-million people require immediate food assistance and another 2.2-million are vulnerable.
